Dancing in the dark by E Street Band

  

   Hoy me apetece presentaros una de las canciones que me parecen más motivadoras, sí, para empezar bien la mañana podría decirse. Esas que en cuanto empiezas a escucharla es inevitable que la vena rockera no invada tu cuerpo y, de repente, te ves bailando sin control y soltando alguna que otro verso de la canción fingiendo que te sabes la letra, cuando no te sabes más que el estribillo.

Esta canción es sin ir más lejos de la E Street Band, un grupo musical estadounidense de rock , liderada por el cantante, mundialmente conocido, Bruce Springsteen. Fue formada en 1972 aunque no fue hasta el 74, cuando establecieron al fin su nombre por el que se conoce actualmente. 

   Bruce, también apodado el Boss es considerado uno de los artistas más exitosos de la música rock, con ventas que superan los 64,5 millones de álbumes en los Estados Unidos y más de 120 millones a nivel mundial, y un total de diez discos números uno, un registro solo superado por The Beatles y Jay-Z

   En general, las canciones de Springsteen reflejan letras con aspectos autobiográficos, principalmente sentimientos centrados en Asbury Par o Nueva Jersey, o relatos de personajes ficticios o novelescos que se enfrentan a retos o a puntos de inflexión en sus vidas.

Alternando con The Cure

  Sí, en efecto, un grupo que estrena hoy el blog, esta entrada se la dedico a The Cure, pues resulta ser una banda de rock alternativo formada en 1976 que sigue activo hoy día.

  Comenzó siendo rock alternativo nacido del post-punk, aunque actualmente las composiciones se clasificarían en un estilo más gótico, de todos modos resulta difícil definirlo.

  Obtuvo una gran fama en la década de los 80 y así convirtiéndose en una influencia musical para otros grupos, incluso españoles como Alaska y los Pegamoides.

  Se puede decir que la estética de su principal intérprete, Robert Smith, es un clásico, ya que se caracteriza por el maquillaje negro que cubre sus párpados, al igual que el pintalabios corrido y el pelo locamente alborotado, además de las prendas oscuras. En conjunto la vestimenta va ligada con este género musical en concreto.

  No me decidía por que canción presentar, pero finalmente me decanté por un clásico: Just like Heaven.
